“There’s no i in Team”
Here at REM we pride ourselves on working as a well-oiled machine. Everyone has their job and part of the project that they have to accomplish. While everyone has their own tasks we do work together and collaborate on certain things. Perhaps the project is so big that the designers have to work alongside the developers in order to get a custom functionality not only looking right, but working correctly as well. I thought of 3 main things that make a better team.
Goals:
One of the more important things is for entire team to know what the end goal is. This can be the final completion of a project and handing it over to the client, or it can be finishing your part of a project before passing it on to another department. Everyone on the team needs to be aware of the direction they need to be focused on.
Expectations:
Another important thing that needs to be discussed is what is expected from each member of the team. Once everyone knows what each team member is to be held accountable for it makes the overall goal more visible.
Communication:
Without communication there really isn’t a team, every member of the team needs to express their concerns and ideas. Without proper communication, the chance of something being missed or wrong rises.
Is there anything else that you would suggest that makes a team work better? Let us know.
