I began working at REM Web Solutions as part of their customer support team on October 3, 2011. It has now been 1 month since I started and as my title indicates, so far, so good.
I am responsible for answering support emails and phone calls. Every inquiry that we receive is different in one way or another. Because of this, my mind is engaged every day from the time I sit down at my desk in the morning, to the time I leave for home. I love that!
I am also responsible for training our clients on WebWiz@rd, REM’s website management tool. This is enjoyable because I get to see how our clients utilize WebWiz@rd and how it allows them to be involved in their website on an ongoing basis.
On a more personal note, I like the fact that I know the names of everyone that I work with and that I am beginning to form relationships with them.
Before I started at REM I worked for a very large company and I had no contact with the clients and very little contact with anyone outside of my core group of co-workers. I admit that there is nothing wrong with a work environment like that, but I have found a new and very strong appreciation for working at REM-- a small, independent, successful business.
