It’s no secret that we all listen to music while working. It helps productivity and can make the time pass by very quickly. This blog post is more about choosing certain kinds of music and letting them influence your designs in a positive way.
Certain types of music can put you in the right mood to effectively create a specific type of design. For example Grungy type design can benefit maybe from industrial or alternative music while a Futuristic concept might benefit from House or any type of electronic beat.
If you’re thinking, "this wouldn’t work.." try to imagine a horror movie with pop songs for the soundtrack.
I have personally tried this recently and found it does help. No longer does music have to be something that just plays in the background. Instead music can consciously be chosen to help influence a certain genre of design.
