Your Email Settings

When setting up your email account on a new device, you will have to input the following settings:

Outlook Instructions

To add your email account to Outlook follow the below steps:

 

  1. Open Outlook and select File > Account Settings > Account Settings.

  2. Select the email account you want to change, then select Change.
  3. On the settings page, you can update your incoming and outgoing server names, your email address, your name, your user name, and your password. If you need to change your SSL settings or your port settings, select More Settings.
  4. The most common settings to update are on the Outgoing Server tab and the Advanced tab.
    • If you're having problems sending email or are receiving messages about your outgoing server, make sure the box for My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication is checked.
    • If you need to update your incoming or outgoing server ports or SSL settings, use the Advanced tab.
  5. When you're done updating your settings, select OK > Next > Finish.

 


 

iPhone Instructions

To add your email account to your iPhone follow the below steps:

 

  1. Tap on the Settings icon from your home screen

  2. Tap on Mail

  3. Tap Add Account under Accounts
  4. Tap Other at the bottom of the list
  5. Tap Add Mail Account under Mail
  6. Fill in the fields using your account information

  7. Tap Next
  8. Select IMAP or POP at the top of the screen
  9. Fill in the in incoming and outgoing mail server fields*

  10. Tap Next
  11. If you see a pop-up that says Cannot connect using SSL - tap Yes

*The User Name and Password in the Outgoing Mail Server fields are not optional 

 


 

BlackBerry Instructions (OS 10)

To add your email account to your BlackBerry with OS 10 follow the below steps:

 

  1. From the home screen, swipe down from the top and tap Settings

  2. Tap Accounts
  3. Tap Add Account
  4. Tap Email, Calendar, and Contacts
  5. Type in your email address
  6. Tap Advanced at the bottom of the screen

  7. Tap either IMAP or POP depending on the type of account you want to create
  8. Fill in the fields with your account settings (found in the Your Email Settings section above) and select your sync interval
  9. Tap Done

 


 

Android Instructions

To add your email account to your Android device follow the below steps:

 

  1. Open the Gmail app and navigate to the Settings section.

  2. Tap Add account.
  3. Tap Personal (IMAP/POP) and then Next.
  4. Enter your full email address and tap Next.
  5. Choose the type of email account you will be using.
    • POP3 will download the emails from the server and store them on your phone.
    • IMAP will store the emails on the server and show a cached copy on your phone. IMAP is best in most cases.
  6. Enter the password for your email address and tap Next.

 

Incoming Server Settings

 

  1. Username: Enter your full email address
  2. Password: Enter the password for your email account
  3. Server: mail.remwebsolutions.com.
  4. Port and Security Type:
    • If you're using POP3:
      Port: 995 and Security Type: StartTLS
    • If you're using IMAP:
      Port: 143 and Security Type: StartTLS
  5. Once the settings are entered, tap Next.

 

Outgoing Server Settings

 

  1. Select Require Sign-In.
  2. Username: Enter your full email address
  3. Password: Enter the password for your email account
  4. Server: mail.remwebsolutions.com.
  5. For SMTP Port and Security Type:
    • Port: 587 and Security Type: StartTLS
  6. Once the settings are entered, tap Next.

 

Account Options

 

  • Email Checking Frequency: Set how often you would like your device to check for new emails.
    Note: The more regularly your device checks for new emails the more it drains your battery.
  • Notify me when email arrives: Leave this checked if you would like to be notified of new emails.
  • Sync email from this account: Leave this checked if you want email to be checked automatically.
  • Tap Next.
