What We're Looking For

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

  • A patient and empathetic disposition to interact with customers of all technical skill levels.

  • A comfort level with learning new software packages to perform specific tasks such as in QuickBooks.

  • An understanding of basic web and internet based concepts, and a willingness to learn. 

  • A strong understanding of each of the major social media tools.

  • A solid understanding of common computer programs such as those found in Microsoft Office.

  • A fun and energetic personality.

  • Post Secondary Education required

  • The successful candidate will exceed our expectations if they also have:

    • Knowledge of the website development lifecycle and process.

    • Functional experience with design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Fireworks.

    • Practical knowledge of content management systems.

    • Professional level writing, editing and proof reading experience.

    • Software testing experience and/or quality control experience.

 

Responsibilities

 

Office Administration

  • Maintain office services by organizing office operations and procedures; maintaining electronic and hard copy filing systems.

  • Handle daily invoicing and deposits as well as receivables.

  • Use common software programs such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel to create, edit, manage and share documents and information.

  • Uses internal systems for data entry and upkeep of accurate databases.

  • Provide receptionist services.

  • Provide administrative support to management.

  • Prepare mail and packages for delivery.

  • Provide other related duties as required.

 

Customer Support/Customer Relations

  • Help the existing customer support team as a secondary/backup support resource for our customers.

  • Become proficient in our products and services to troubleshoot common problems and to help our customers effectively use the tools we provide.

  • Provide other related duties as required.

 

Marketing Assistance

  • Manage our social media communications through Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google Plus.

  • Proofread, release and distribute our internal blog posts.

  • Become proficient in our products and services to suggest new ways to reach new customers.

  • Compose blog posts and newsletters as part of the general marketing of the company.

  • Provide other related duties as required.

Compensation

  • $30k to $40k depending on experience, skill and accomplishments
