This year for some reason, Halloween snuck up on me and I was in the Last minute rush for a Halloween costume. Although there are plenty of great ideas and sources for inspiration I was still having a really hard time. All the Halloween and thrift shops are picked over and I would hate to just buy a mask and say I’m a skeleton or zombie, or zombie-skeleton.
So I turned to my closet and looked through some of my older clothes. I had no luck and started to give up on the idea of a costume this year. About to walk away, I spotted a shirt in the back that had a red and black plaid pattern and it clicked.
With a trip again to the local costume shop to buy a beard, and down to the basement to dig out some boots, a beanie, and some old jeans, I had my costume!
I was ready for a day of chopping trees as a Lumberjack.
