Digital Plans Room SuiteThe DPR is a niche suite of tools that started with a small project for a company in town. As mentioned in a previous blog post, it was the first set of tools we decided to migrate into our new platform that had alternate "end users", or "a system within a system". It allows site administrators to place contracting jobs online, in a secured area for various sub trades to login, review and download project plans for medium or large scale projects. (Think bridge building and high-rise construction as opposed to basement renovations)
It started as one small project for one company but has been enhanced and sold many times since. |
| My favourite thing about this module: | It simplifies the distribution of documents to contractors and keeps communication open between project makers and their required tradespeople. |
| Some customers that use this module: | Filipovic (others have version 2 and will be migrated this year to version 3) |
| Industries that are well suited for this module: | Obviously large construction houses are the main target for this type of suite. |
