We're celebrating our first official year of WebWiz@rd 3 here at REM and I thought it would be a great time to share some of my experience and thoughts related to it.
Now for part 4, the Second & Third Phase Customers
Second Phase Customers
Our second phase customers were the ones with sites that had bigger modules, voluminous content or simple problems that needed more experience to solve.
Rob spent more time talking migration plans with these customers to make sure that they were ready for the new features that would replace their old features, and the reception had been overwhelmingly positive.
A few customers requested more time before making the leap, and so we easily accommodated them by moving them into Phase 3.
Rob also found it quite "fun" for a lack of a better word to show off our new toys to new customers. I'm was please to see the 50+ new customers that have come on board in the last few months, based on their excitement for our tools and our designs.
Third Phase Customers
We technically in the Third Phase as of the writing of this post. This phase was reserved for our most complicated sites, and for people that preferred to be in the last group of conversions.
One of my favourite accomplishments for this phase was our ability to fold in each customer's unique tools into our standard WebWiz@rd framework. This gave our customers consistent icons and interfaces, and most importantly, a single sign-on to manage all of the aspects of the site.
We're almost done moving everyone over to the new system, and boy am I excited to show those customers what's coming down the pipe.
In my next post on the subject, I'll give some parting thoughts and hint at what comes next!
