Office Administrator & Customer Ambassador

REM Web Solutions - Kitchener, ON


REM is looking for an office administrator that will provide accounts receivable tasks within QuickBooks and will super-charge our customers' experience with excellent support services.

To apply for this position, you must have an understanding of how to use QuickBooks (or a strong understanding of other bookkeeping software) for the purpose of generating invoices and entering accounts receivable.

This is an important position within REM and has a pay range of $30 000 to $40 000 per year.

  • A post secondary education is highly valued.  Ideally in a related course such as bookkeeping, office administration or accounting.

There are 3 areas of responsibility for this position.  They are all important to the continued success of REM.

Office Administration

  • Maintain office appearance by ensuring impeccable cleanliness and organization.

  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems.

  • Use common software programs such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel to create, edit, manage and share documents and information.

  • Learn and use internal project tracking system for data entry and upkeep of accurate customer records.

  • Greet and welcome customers as they come into REM.

  • Provide phone receptionist services.

  • Provide administrative support to management.

  • Prepare mail and packages for delivery.

  • Manage our social media communications through Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Google Plus.

  • Proofread, release and distribute our internal blog posts.

  • Provide other related duties as required.

Accounts Receivable/Bookkeeping

  • Master and control the daily invoicing, deposits and receivables via QuickBooks.

  • Work with account managers to verify invoicing accuracy and pro-actively reconcile inconsistencies.

  • Own the accounts receivable duties and actively protect them from inaccuracies. 

Customer Ambassador

  • Learn our products, services and philosophies to confidently help our customers troubleshoot common problems.

  • Hold training sessions in which you will demonstrate our software capabilities to new clients and teach them how to utilize our tools.

  • Listen to our customer feedback and find new ways to make customers feel great about choosing REM.

  • Maintain a positive spirit and embody our Guiding Principles in every interaction with our customers.
