A Keen Eye For The Obvious

I spend a lot of my time researching and analyzing user experience trends in the open market while constantly comparing those trends to the feedback that our clients give.  We have a great sample base of over 350 active and current customers that see an average of 500,000 unique users to their sites each month.

What I notice is that the nuances that go into a pleasant user experience are largely driven by the obvious elements that can be overlooked by less dedicated development shops.

We've pulled more than one website from the brink of complete failure due in part to the lack of dedication to some simple truths about websites that seam obvious when listed, but without a keen eye they get left behind.

Over the course of the next few blog posts I'll explore some of these simple and obvious truths and give my bitter and direct 2 cents along the way.  

My next post will deal with the obvious truth that site navigation should be designed for the purpose of the website.
