SUMMER IS HERE!
OK, maybe that comment isn't nearly as exciting as it was when I was 15 years old but nevertheless ... Summer is here!
For some of our clients this season brings them the most amount of business and activity. Their websites are updated throughout the summer but on a much smaller scale. Just the necessities are updated. Perhaps a few Blog postings here and a price sheet switch there. The thought of freshening up their site on a larger scale is one of the last things on their mind.
However for many of our clients summer doesn't bring an influx of business but rather their work slows down a bit because their customers are on holidays. If you fall into this category, this Blog is for you.
I encourage you to read this Blog posting, be inspired and use this available time to your advantage.
I have a handful of recommendations in order to fill your "free" time with something that will bring you a great deal of satisfaction and improve the look of your website. All of my suggestions, of course, include the use of WebWiz@rd.
If you have a Gallery on your site, now is a wonderful time to delete old portfolio work, old products or old activities and events and replace them with images that are new and fresh. Now that WebWiz@rd offers 6 gallery styles perhaps you want to give your gallery a completely different look!
Create folders and sub folders and organize your files now so you can find your files easily next time you need them. This exercise will also give you the chance to review all of your files and delete any that are old or outdated.
Make your pages more attractive! Now that you can create a clone of your page, you can have your existing page on your site until your * new and improved * page is ready to be revealed. Add images to your pages, use tables to better control the content on your page and layout your content in an crisp, easy-to-read way. (Remember, sometimes less is more).
Blog. Then blog a bit more. And then blog again. Create enough blog postings to last you until next summer! Once your blogs are written you can simply change the date when you are ready to post it and check off "Make This Version Active". This proactive activity could provide you with new content for the rest of the year!
