Redesigning REM’s website was about getting more than a new look and feel, it was about expressing who we are and expressing the guiding principles that we all embody.

Below are the steps we took to get started with our redesign.

We started by taking a step back and looking at our current site. What was good and what was not so great about it. What are we now trying to achieve? We knew a strong plan now would help us along the way. We knew a successful redesign was more than just about creating a new look; it’s about presenting who we are and the awesome work we do!

Scrape Our Current Content:

What stays and what goes? We needed to take inventory of the content on our site, but we knew it had to be sliced in half. This was a tougher job than we initially anticipated and required Rob to spend the time slicing and dicing out any unnecessary content. Great job Rob, I know how tough this must have been!

The Design:

After analyzing our current site and new goals we had a flood of ideas to start sketching and making some wireframe mock ups. We then started mocking up the layout to present to everyone here at REM.

We kept our new design clean and professional by using beautiful fonts, stunning imagery, graphics and video! Updating icons and focusing on our gallery was an important piece of the puzzle. Our client designs now shine from our featured client on the homepage to Our Work in the Portfolio.

Build and Implement our Revised Content:

Based on our initial concept it was time to build the new site and implement our content. This was made easier by our latest team member, Christine. She helped populate our new pages and provided her design skills to make each page shine.

Rem Web Solutions’ newly redesigned site it now live for everyone to check out. Click here to visit our portfolio or contact us about your next design project.
