As you may or may not know, we recently released a new version of WebWiz@rd. It was given a complete overhaul and we believe it is the easiest CMS you will ever use!

That being said, we have introduced some new modules that can be added to your WebWiz@rd dashboard, one of which is called Blog Manager.

Today I'd like to talk about why the Blog Manager is my favourite WebWiz@rd 3.0 Module.

I am using the Blog Manager to write this blog post! (obviously! :P) It is super easy to use and has all of the functionalities that you would expect a blog manager to have, such as, the ability to add links and photos to your blog post, the ability to allow public commenting and moderate comments, and the ability to give your blog posts SEO friendly page names. Plus the blog itself is fully branded to have the same look and feel as your web site, as you can see on this blog page that we are on right now.

There are other small details that make it such a brilliant module--for example, when you click Blog Manager from your dashboard, you are given a list of "Your Blog Posts" and a tab called "Posts From Other Bloggers" which makes it very easy to differentiate which posts you wrote, and which ones others wrote. You can also see when the blog was written (date and time), and when the blog was put "live". The posts are shown in order of which date you put the post live. On the front end that is visible to the public, the date is shown along with the title, and of course your blog post itself. Depending on how you want your blog to display, the date and title information that is shown will vary. There are tons of other little details that I could talk about but you should really check it out for yourself!

Here are a few examples of great blogs using our Blog Manager:

www.themuseum.ca/blogs

www.b3remedies.com/blogs

www.drmccabe.ca/blogs

The reason it is my favourite module is the because blog posts can be about pretty much anything, so this module gives businesses the freedom to allow the public get to know them a bit better.
